Joint Technology Transfer Office Lombardy Public Research Hospitals
The Joint Technology Transfer Office with the “TTO4IRCSS” project, co-financed by Lombardy Region Government, aims to identify, protect and leverage the potential of the innovation developed in the context of research projects carried out within the four Lombardy Public Research Hospitals (IRCCS) involved: Policlinico Hospital, Policlinico San Matteo, Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Istituto Neurologico Besta.
The research activity, already carried out at the highest Italian national standards levels within the four IRCCS, thanks to this project is further supported with the protection and commercial valorisation of the inventions developed by researchers, with the goal of improving clinical practice and creating new therapies for the benefit of society and patients.
The valorization of the technologies patented by the four IRCCS also allows a new method of capital raising, through collaborative and strategic partnership with private companies and the creation of innovative start-ups, that can be reinvested in clinical research activities.
